  • Wire Weaving with Christine Miller [8 remaining]

    November 21, 22 and 29 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm,
    Weaving with Wire - The 3-day workshop for a maximum of 10 participants will include:
    Preparing a 3 yard warp out of wire, 3/8” to 1” wide
    Beaming the wire warp onto a 4-8 harness small floor or table loom
    Weaving the 3 yard woven metal warp to be used for jewelry or small sculpture
    Information on sculpting with woven metal fabric and various ways of connecting for different applications
    Lectures will include information about applying the woven metal fabric for basketry, jewelry, 3D sculpture, and bas-relief 2D wall art.
    Participants will have unlimited access to Christine’s online curriculum for continued support and learning.

Overview of warping process; begin preparing warp

Begin beaming the warp and tying on to weave

Overview of preparing bobbins - begin weaving

Weave on wire warp (continue weaving wire warp until next Sunday session) NOTE: students can reach out to Christine during the week if they have questions or issues.

Group discussions - observations, problems, troubleshooting

Demonstrations and discussions about working with the woven metal fabric which will cover ways to manipulate the material, finishing, mounting, etc.

Cancellation and Refund Policy 
MLH pays a non-refundable registration fee when each person registers. This fee will not be refunded upon cancellation of your registration. If you cancel your registration you will be refunded $205 of the workshop fee.  After October 1, 2026, no refunds will be made unless there is a waitlist and your spot can be filled.
